Suryavanshi, who was dismissed by Praful Hinge for a golden duck in their last meeting, got his revenge quickly as he hit the Vidarbha bowler for four consecutive sixes in the very first over. His innings was laced with 5 fours and 12 sixes, which remains the most by Indian player in an IPL innings.

However, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s second fastest IPL ton must have gone in vain, thanks to a 132-run stand by Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma for the second wicket which helped SRH chase the total 18.3 overs, he continued his brilliant run. The 15-year-old went to become first uncapped batter to hit two IPL hundreds and also only the third after Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson to score a century against SRH in the IPL.
